Career experience
Dan Buehler retired as a Police Captain after a 30-year career with the City of El Monte Police Department. He advanced through every level of the organization—from Cadet and Police Officer through Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain.
That operational and command perspective now informs every Buehler Investigative Services assignment: identify the relevant facts, test the evidence, document the work and communicate conclusions clearly.
About Dan Buehler
Dan Buehler is the owner and operator of Buehler Investigative Services. He is licensed as a Private Investigator and Qualified Manager in both California and Texas.
Dan has conducted and supervised public-safety background investigations since 1995, building on investigative experience developed throughout his law-enforcement career.
His experience and specialized training as an Internal Affairs Lieutenant provided the investigative tools, sound judgment and procedural discipline he now brings to administrative workplace investigations.
Dan is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Class 249, holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership and is a Certified EEO Investigator. His investigator training includes the California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Background Investigators Course and updates, and training through the Association of Workplace Investigators.
